Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use Methalo, the visual editor that turns your designs into responsive code. By using Methalo you agree to them. Methalo is operated by Ernest Mokwena, South Africa ("we", "us"); contact: hello@methalo.com.

Methalo is in early access

Methalo is under active development. Features may change, and things may occasionally break. Keep your own copies of your work - save your .methal files.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Give accurate information, and tell us if you think your account has been misused.

Your work is yours

You own the designs you create in Methalo and the code Methalo exports for you. You may use that code anywhere, including in commercial projects. We claim no rights over your content, and we only process it to provide the service (see the Privacy Policy).

You are responsible for what you put into your designs - for example, that you have the right to use the images, fonts and text you add.

The Methalo software

Methalo itself - the editor, the export engine and the brand - belongs to us. You may use it as offered, but you may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the software, or try to access the export engine other than through the Methalo editor.

Fair use

Do not use Methalo to break the law, to create harmful or deceptive content, to attack or overload the service, or to get around its limits or security. We may suspend accounts that do.

Plans and changes

Methalo is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance and you can decide whether to continue. We may change or discontinue features, and we will try to give notice of significant changes.

No warranty

Methalo is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Check exported code before putting it live; we do not guarantee it is free of errors or suitable for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits arising from your use of Methalo. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

Ending

You can stop using Methalo and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms we will change the date above, and for significant changes we will let account holders know. Continuing to use Methalo after a change means you accept the updated terms.
